Building Audacity began as a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to amplifying young people’s voices and equipping them with the tools to create change in their communities. From hosting listening sessions to launching youth-run projects in housing developments and schools, our mission has always centered on equity, creativity, and empowerment. Squash Tomatoes was born from this vision—combining Building Audacity’s commitment to youth leadership with the need for healthy food access. By teaching hydroponic farming, cooking, and nutrition, Squash Tomatoes transforms learning into action, inspiring kids to grow, cook, and enjoy fresh vegetables while building skills that last a lifetime.
